A quarterly Bitget account security review you can finish inside the app
Security settings drift over time as phones, emails and habits change. A fifteen-minute quarterly review in the Bitget app covering sign-in methods, devices, API keys, addresses and alerts.
Bitget | the reader's region | the reader's funding currency | application origin and signature checks
Most people configure their account security once, on the day they sign up, and then never look at it again. Over the following months they change phones, connect a tool or two, save a few withdrawal addresses and perhaps move email providers. Each change is small, but together they can leave gaps. A short review every three months keeps everything current. You can do the whole thing from the Bitget app in about fifteen minutes, and the checklist below keeps it focused.
Sign-in methods and email
Start with how you log in. Confirm your two-factor method is an authenticator app or passkey rather than SMS alone, and that your backup codes are still where you think they are. Then check the email linked to the account. It should be one you use daily, protected by a unique password and its own two-factor authentication. If either has changed since your last review, update the account before moving on.
Devices and active sessions
Open the device or session list in the security settings and compare it with the phones, tablets and computers you actually use. Sign out anything you do not recognise or no longer own. If an unfamiliar entry appears, change your password straight away and review recent account activity. Make a note of any device you remove so you can spot it if it ever reappears in the list.
API keys and withdrawal addresses
If you have created API keys, check each one against the tool it serves and delete any you no longer use. Make sure none have withdrawal permission unless it is truly required. Next, open the withdrawal address book and remove destinations you do not recognise or no longer need. If the allowlist option is not yet enabled, consider turning it on so withdrawals can only go to approved addresses.
Alerts and anti-phishing code
Confirm that alerts for logins, security changes and withdrawals are enabled and arrive somewhere you will see them quickly. Check that your anti-phishing code is set and appears in genuine Bitget emails. Finally, write down the date of this review in a note or calendar reminder so the next one happens in three months. Regular, short reviews are far more effective than a single thorough setup that is never revisited.
Risk boundary: Bitget App Safety Guide
Digital assets are volatile and derivatives can amplify losses. This website has no login, wallet connection, deposit form or customer-support chat. A referral link only records attribution; it does not guarantee access, pricing, rewards, approval or investment results. Availability can differ by residence, legal entity and product, so no regional access is assumed from language or branding alone.
Scenario checkpoint
- Confirm your sign-in uses an authenticator or passkey and that backup codes are still stored.
- Sign out every device in the session list that you no longer own or do not recognise.
- Delete unused API keys and remove withdrawal addresses that no longer have a current purpose.
- Set a calendar reminder to repeat this security review in three months from today's date.
